Randomly - in regards to the caramel fur colour situation, what pretty much ALL makers I know do (myself included) is if they cannot find a perfect match for the customers character, they will send the customer pictures of all the furs they CAN get of suitable quality and discuss the best options with the commissioner. From your reaction I'm guessing she failed to do this?
Speaking as a fursuit builder, I personally am shocked at the materials you were sent - as previously stated, the bulk of the fur used retails at between $20-$25 most places, unless they needed the fur to be imported (which is very doubtful considering she was paid in $ and used fedex) it really shouldn't have cost them that amount of money. Even looking at the size of the box at the start of the video I was doubtful that sufficient materials were sent to you.
If you can, I would suggest maybe contacting her and asking for a scanned copy of any receipts she has from buying your materials - most makers will keep a copy of all receipts for their own records so she should have them. Also enquire if your deposit money included any shipping costs, extra taxes etc - this should also be on any receipts for your materials.
