I always keep "Friend" and "customer" separate.
Every customer follows the same rules regardless if they are my best friend or a complete stranger. It's the only way to ensure no bias.
A professional artist should treat everyone who commissions them the same, and never hold a personal grudge or give personal favour to thier customer.
