WHAT: Harassment, threats, and attempts at free art

WHEN: They first commented on my free pantsu icon raffle, on May 17th. He has left his FA account and has promised not to contact me since July 3rd.

PROOF: I will put with the explanation, to hopefully help you follow better.

EXPLAIN: For the past few months, Dante has been annoying me. He was a bit annoying during my pantsu icon raffle, where he kept mentioning that his birthday was soon after the raffle ended.

I personally found his continuous mention of his birthday to be sort of a pressure, even if he didn't intend. I just assume most people wouldn't mention it at all if they didn't want to put pressure on the artist.

May 31st, after the raffle had ended, he noted me. I was completely confused at first at what he was asking for, but after clarification, he was breaking one of the rules of my TOS: I must be paid before work. Here he's trying to order a commission and promising to pay later because right now he doesn't have a paypal:

I don't have screen shots of this because the shout got bumped off my page (I only felt the need to make this article after tonight, so all caps are recent), but in it he asked if he could commission me for a pantsu icon, even though they were journal only. The fact that he was aware of it, and wanted one even though he had no paypal, really stung me bad.

July 19th, after I had answered someone else's question about my future pricing on reference sheets, he comes to the deluxe reference sheet I did for my fursona and commented:

I put him on my blacklist then. He's the first and hopefully the last.

June 22nd, he came to my page and apologized. I accepted, and he then asked what being on the blacklist is (I only have a small portion of this, as shouts got bumped off):

Then, on June 28th, he came back to my page and asked to get off the blacklist again:

I replied "No.", but he wiped his shouts before I could grab it. But at this point I was more than fed up with his whining.

Today, July 3rd, I posted a journal opening up my pantsu icons again. He came in, whining about how he wanted one but he was on the blacklist. Then he tried to get someone to commission me for him, which I did not want:

After this I was absolutely stunned, and felt making an A_B post was necessary so other's wouldn't have trouble with him as well. But I was unaware of weather I had to have actual, money exchanging business to post him on here (I couldn't really find anything about it on here, sorry if it was somewhere and I didn't realize) so I made a journal on FA asking for advice. Here's how the journal basically went (black boxes used to hide screenames and conversations not relevant to the situation, also screenshot thanks to someone on FA. Journal is also deleted as of now, but I have un-censored screenshot still saved):

Beware very well warranted. I do a lot of free raffles and such, so now I'm worried this guy will eventually find me and start trying to get art from me as well.

Blacklisted, I won't draw for this person. They have some SERIOUS anger and etiquette issues. But seeing as they're so young, I'm hoping it's because they still have growing up to do. Maybe in a few years they'll realize how dumb they're acting.

It's not impossible, I used to know someone who acted similar to this guy some years ago. And recently he made a new account, contacted me apologizing for his past behavior, and we've been good friends ever since. Sometimes it just takes some time before peoples' attitudes improve through age.

I think age probably has most to do with it, but I also think he's new to the community. Him and I are the same age, but I've been here a lot longer that I assume he has, so I know not to run around and whine about free art to artists who much more deserve payment. Hopefully he learns, otherwise he may as well get off FA.

Oh this guy really started to make me angry, especially at the reference sheet comments. He was basically saying your art was only worth $20-$30 for a reference sheet. ): when he mentioned spearfrost, that's really a disgrace. she prices her art so high because it's her second source of income. =3= i'd like to see him say that to spear, that her CG art is only worth $20-30 for reference sheets.

His nonsensical "temper" comments. i noticed a trend--young people tend to think older people are "rude" or "immature" or that they "type like an eleven year old", even though the person receiving the insults is typing correctly, and reacting calmly. I doubt this person is as old as he says.

Also, I read that you put him on your blacklist, and he came back with a new account and messaged you again. That is block-evading, and is a bannable/suspendable offense according to FA rules. may want to report him. Unless, by black list, you mean list of people that cannot commission you?

My black list I did mean that he just couldn't commission me, I didn't block him because I figured I'd just see if his attitude changed and I would have taken him off. But, if he contacts me on FA once more then he will be blocked, as he is added to my black-list permanently.

Wow. All I can say is wow. Beware well warranted! This guy's attitude in the screenshots and even on this post waved a huge red flag. I applaud you for remaining level headed and keeping calm, and I honestly hope he doesn't bother you further. :c

I know I commented a few times above but after awhile it was pointless, and I didn't want to say something I would either regret later on, or be against the community rules. Defiantly blasklisted on my list though.

If Dante's suicidal insinuations escalate to threats of imminent suicide, I hope anyone who sees them will report Dante to LiveJournal staff at the link above. LJ staff will contact the proper authorities in his area on his behalf to see if he needs to receive medical treatment. Fake or not, threats of suicide should be taken very seriously, and left up to the proper officials to determine whether the person making the comments needs medical care or to be sent back home for a spanking (yes, I'm being a little facetious about the latter option).

Poked my nose back in to see if things had calmed down only to see the water was boiling. Goodness! Most often times when the "Suicide" thing is played, they are trying to control/seek attention. I used to be in a relationship with a similar attitude bearing fellow. Was very reaching, clinging, and super controlling, using the suicide threats as a way to manipulate. Him coming here has only made things worse for him but it also gave him another source of attention.

While he may carry on about how miserable his life is and how desperate he is for art (which to me is just another reaching arm for attention as it gives him something forward to)he's only going to make himself very lonely in the end.

To the OP, sweetie I hope things calm down as I can only see him trying to throw mud back at you in attempts to get you fired up. Just let it all roll off your back and the world will see him for what he is.

To the artist in question: Controlling your emotions does not mean a controlled rage. Every artist has the right to deny work from anyone, no questions asked. You asked, she turned you down, you persisted. That does not mean push harder upon an artist. If someone says no, let it go and choose a better time to ask. If their TOS states no gift art, then that is the end of that. This beware is to alert others of how quickly your attitude changed as well as much that you persisted. Take this as a lesson learned and reign in your pleas as it only hurts your image worse.

Beware of Dante

Thanks for the information and evidence that you and along with others, have provided. Dante, shortly after you have dealt with him, came to both my girlfriend and I. At first he presented himself as a curious young adult/teen that has made a few mistakes in his life, of which he accepted and claimed to have changed his ways. However, after months of conversation, arguements, and confusion and disbelief, both my girlfriend and I found ourselves in a predicament that was hazardous. We found that the evidence others have posted about him to be true and relevant. He is manipulative, a child, and plain uncomfortable to be around. When he doesn't get his way he plays the pity card and threatens that he would harm himself, even claim having cancer or to commit suicide. He is quite a nuisance to say the least. Even when you're busy with other things and with other people he would find ways to take up your time and be distracting. This is with claims of boredom and loneliness. On top of the evidence is him trying to get in between relationships, even try to ruin them so that whoever is left is his to pursue without competition. He has tried multiple times to live out a fantasy of an adult nature, but to no avail, with me, my girlfriend, or even both at the same time. He also believed he had rights to our artwork to do as he pleases and claim ownership. Overall he is a caustic unstable individual who will use any means necessary, mainly fraud and pity, to achieve his desires and fulfill his fantasies which is based an attention and of an adult nature.

For a good example of him think of a "Jekyll & Hyde" personality.

All this info is the tip of the iceburg of what my girlfriend and I had dealt with for months. We believed in second chances and redemption, however he abused this and us to the point that strained our relationship near to the breaking point. Our advice is to refuse any and all business with him and to be wary of when you offer requests and free art, of which he scours the variety of art database and social networking sites for.

Recently he has been using Skype as a main means of communication between his targets and him. Facebook is seldom used now by him. For names he usually goes with variations of his internet name. He has been on F-List, FurAffinity and the forums, Deviantart, Facebook, and Skype. He has made alternate and fake accounts but of which the few known has been deactivated/removed.

Payment of commissions would usually ensue him offering one of his characters to do as you please. Payment negotiations would involve him making attempts to talk his way out of payment or be delayed till a later date. Of which payment remains outstanding. If there is payment it is much lower than the listed price and claims to pay the rest when it is finished are made. Again though full payment isn't made and left with him defaulting.

You are a minor, and as far as I remember from our notes live with your parents, so a 75 year old man could not be your room mate. You also type the same, and "Fang" contacted another artist you harassed in the past.

I will believe it is you and not take it down unless I get some solid evidence, or AB asks it to be taken off.

Hiding???? what do I have to hide? I left FA after being banned.....I wish to have NOTHING to do with FA....I hate, hate, HATE FA, because their so fucking stupid.....wanted THEIR reason for banning me to me the truth, instead of telling the truth.
