Additional Edit: Here are screenshots left on an artist's page through this new account. The artist is one that Dante harassed in the past, and they saw through the new account right away. As you can see, the typing and language are very, very like Dante's.

WHAT: Harassment, threats, and attempts at free art

WHEN: They first commented on my free pantsu icon raffle, on May 17th. He has left his FA account and has promised not to contact me since July 3rd.

PROOF: I will put with the explanation, to hopefully help you follow better.

EXPLAIN: For the past few months, Dante has been annoying me. He was a bit annoying during my pantsu icon raffle, where he kept mentioning that his birthday was soon after the raffle ended.

I personally found his continuous mention of his birthday to be sort of a pressure, even if he didn't intend. I just assume most people wouldn't mention it at all if they didn't want to put pressure on the artist.

May 31st, after the raffle had ended, he noted me. I was completely confused at first at what he was asking for, but after clarification, he was breaking one of the rules of my TOS: I must be paid before work. Here he's trying to order a commission and promising to pay later because right now he doesn't have a paypal:

I don't have screen shots of this because the shout got bumped off my page (I only felt the need to make this article after tonight, so all caps are recent), but in it he asked if he could commission me for a pantsu icon, even though they were journal only. The fact that he was aware of it, and wanted one even though he had no paypal, really stung me bad.

July 19th, after I had answered someone else's question about my future pricing on reference sheets, he comes to the deluxe reference sheet I did for my fursona and commented:

I put him on my blacklist then. He's the first and hopefully the last.

June 22nd, he came to my page and apologized. I accepted, and he then asked what being on the blacklist is (I only have a small portion of this, as shouts got bumped off):

Then, on June 28th, he came back to my page and asked to get off the blacklist again:

I replied "No.", but he wiped his shouts before I could grab it. But at this point I was more than fed up with his whining.

Today, July 3rd, I posted a journal opening up my pantsu icons again. He came in, whining about how he wanted one but he was on the blacklist. Then he tried to get someone to commission me for him, which I did not want:

After this I was absolutely stunned, and felt making an A_B post was necessary so other's wouldn't have trouble with him as well. But I was unaware of weather I had to have actual, money exchanging business to post him on here (I couldn't really find anything about it on here, sorry if it was somewhere and I didn't realize) so I made a journal on FA asking for advice. Here's how the journal basically went (black boxes used to hide screenames and conversations not relevant to the situation, also screenshot thanks to someone on FA. Journal is also deleted as of now, but I have un-censored screenshot still saved):

What a nightmare.

In the future the second you put someone on your blacklist, it's a good idea to block them outright. It saves you the trouble and emotional roller coaster of dealing with them at a later date.

I wonder if he has another account, tho. His icon is incredibly familiar and I know it watched my account a couple of months back. Unless he's cleared his watchlist, too.

I didn't decide to block him because I figured perhaps if he behaved enough I would take him off. He's on it permanently though, and if he contacts me on his new account he will be blocked.

I agree with what was said earlier; you were professional but should have stopped responding to him earlier and blocked him outright. Kudos to you for keeping your head, though. And in the future, don't justify your prices. You're the artist, you make the call.

Holy hamburgers, what a shocking attitude. I'm sorry you had to go through that, but as others have said, kudos for keeping your head. Is there any way to report him to FA under his new account, and show them the harrassment? His comments were totally uncalled for and the threat of "I will ruin you" was just a threat coupled with a self-harm guilt-threat. I'm unfamiliar with FA's responses to incidents like this but is there a way to get them banned or IP banned?

For starters, I think you handled the entire situation incredibly well...

His attitude just blows my mind. Read your final link and wow. Just wow. His approach and handle on the entire situation (especially his claims on 'being able to control his anger' is hilarious)but this is very much well warranted. Wow, beware very warranted, he seems like he would never be a good commissioner.

My advice to you would be to consider if you could ever completely forgive him. If not, just block his new account. While you're in no way responsible for him acting like a jerk, I'll second what other people said and suggest that you block earlier should you have something remotely similar to this. It will hopefully save you a lot of just the nasty back-and-forth that you had here.

Another to the block list. That attitude on the pricing thing won me over and the rest was just collateral. I will never understand people. Great, ya can't afford the artist. Don't tell them they aren't worth money just because you are broke.

This guy's behaviour is pretty horrifying, especially in that last message where he threatens self harm and is screeching about how you're apparently freaking out when the one handling the situation badly and overreacting is him. He seemed pretty harmless (if obnoxious and entitled) up until that point but right then... yeah.

I actually saw his page before he deleted everything and noticed myself how he'd been pestering you, as well as spamming other artists with this idea he had to "make them both money" which involved him fishing for free art by offering his characters to be drawn in other people's commissions and having the artist pay him.
I didn't cap where he posted this, but I do have a copypaste of the text.

Just like to say that this beware is more than warranted and you were incredibly professional through it all. Kudos to you for handling it so well but like Taasla said, in future you can save yourself a lot of heartache by blocking troublesome people like this.

I recall seeing things like that, because I also recall Taasla commenting on it while I was looking at it myself.

He managed to strike a deal with someone else (they noted me because their friend is a friend of mine and told them about his attitude) and Dante was writing for this user in exchange for art, and letting Dante use his own characters as background character's for the user's character's backstory, which I find incredibly rude. Thankfully, the user is not planning to contact them any further after their business is done.

If he contacts me, it really wouldn't be a big deal. I would just delete the message and add him to my block list, if he were to contact me. As of now, I'd like to keep my block list clean.
